Questions
The day of
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive by 3:00 PM. That leaves time to park and walk over before the ceremony starts at 3:30.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both! The ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors. The reception is indoors in a historic barn, but its doors stay open, so it will feel cool once the sun goes down. Please dress warmly and bring layers.
What if it rains?
The ceremony and cocktail hour will move into the barn, so the celebration goes on rain or shine.
Is it an unplugged ceremony?
Yes. We kindly ask that you put away phones and cameras during the ceremony. Our photographer will capture every moment, and we’d love to see your faces, not your screens! Once the ceremony is over, snap away.
What to wear
What’s the dress code?
Welcome Drinks: Fall Cocktail. Polished but cozy, dressed for an October evening in the mountains. Think sweater dresses, midi skirts or jumpsuits with boots or tights, or blazers, quarter-zips, or sweaters over a collared shirt with chinos or dress pants. Ties optional. Rich autumn colors encouraged.
Wedding: Formal Optional. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
How cold will it be?
It’s October in New Hampshire, and most of the day is outside or in an open-air barn. Evenings often dip into the 40s °F. We recommend a coat, wrap, or warm layer you’re happy to wear over your outfit.
What shoes should I wear?
The ceremony and cocktail hour are on grass, so we suggest leaving the stilettos at home. Block heels, wedges, flats, or boots are your best bet.
Getting there & getting home
Is there parking?
Yes, parking is available on-site at Whiteface Hollow.
Will there be a shuttle?
We’re planning a shuttle, including a late-night ride back to North Conway, and will share details here. Let us know on your RSVP if you’d use one.
Can I get an Uber or Lyft?
Rideshares are very limited in rural New Hampshire, especially late at night, so please don’t count on one. Use the shuttle or plan a designated driver.
Where should I stay?
You have two good options. Near the venue, there are charming B&Bs, inns, and rental homes in Tamworth and the nearby villages, many just a few minutes from Whiteface Hollow. In North Conway, about 40 minutes away, we’ll have a hotel block at the Holiday Inn Express, discounted rooms at the North Conway Grand Hotel, and large group homes with a discount code. That’s also where our shuttle will run. See Travel & Stay.
Is the venue accessible?
Mostly, though parts of the property are grass and uneven ground. If you or someone in your party has mobility needs, please reach out and we’ll make sure you’re comfortable.
Guests & RSVPs
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones! Because of space, we’re only able to include the children named on your invitation. Your RSVP will show exactly who’s invited.
Can I bring a plus-one?
If your invitation includes a guest, you’ll see the option when you RSVP.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by August 31, 2027. You can update your RSVP until then.
Food, drinks & gifts
What will be served?
A family-style barbecue dinner, passed appetizers, and an open cocktail bar, all by Mezzanine Catering. Please share any allergies or dietary needs on your RSVP.
What about gifts?
Your presence is the best gift! There will be a card box at the reception. If you’d like to give something larger, please ship it rather than bring it. See our Registry.
